When it was built Brigflatts Meeting House "was an amazing act of defiance" since Quaker meetings were illegal (refer David and Anthea Boulton's book In Fox's Footsteps which describes its early history). But it was strongly built by local Friends with a roof made of flag stones which would last for hundreds of years.

This is a quiet lane. Behind the Meeting House is the Wardens' house.
